Gliders Seen as an Equal Part of the Whole.

Gliders Seen as an Equal Part of the Whole.

Can we really continue to look at the gliders and glider pilots in a vacuum?

This was not the intended subject of this post but as I burrowed myself deep into a rabbit hole of research on the CBI I came across mentions of glider in Panama in 1943 and 1944. Deep in this rabbit hole I came across many ties to the very subjects I spoke about on during last weeks live show on WW2 TV The First Air Commandos and Gliders in the CBI. The very foundations of elements of that program, as it turns out, originated at Fort Kobbe in Panama from the 1930’s onwards. So much of what we considered novel to the CBI theater actually had its start in Panama.
