The Trusty Glider Borne Mule
A mule will labor ten years willingly and patiently for you, for the privilege of kicking you once. ~William Faulkner
As a lifelong horsewoman I could write twenty posts of what not to do with a mule or any horse/pony in this video in you want to live, sent to me by a good friend and one of the best researchers I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. But that is not the purpose of this post. However, it will show you two things 1)how things could go very, very wrong with a mule in a glider and 2) you will never force a mule and win, even if you think you did - refer back to the quote under the title.
Instead this post will continuing to take a deeper look into the larger equipment and cargo delivered to the landing zones by glider, the focus of this article will be on one of the more unexpected cargoes, and one on which I have written about before in the Flying Mules of Burma.
